Sometimes, as a CL, you'll encounter questions that may not fall within the typical OFTW conversation agenda. Although learning how to respond to common objections and having conversation practice with your team is a great foundation to tackle any inquiry, you may find it helpful to view this video guide as a framework for your formulating your responses.

Operation Costs

Questions include: Who pays for operation costs and your overhead? How are you able to afford such large conferences? Does all the money go to the charity? Why not just donate to the charity itself? How do you choose your partner organizations?

Isn't 1% too low?

Questions include: Is 1% too low? Can I wait until I get a job? Is my pledge legally binding? Why focus on income and not wealth?

Talking about Poverty

Questions include: Is this white savorism? What is respectful advocacy?

Other Causes

Questions include: What if I already give to other causes that already add up to 1%? What if I prefer to volunteer and give locally?
